Ka-Man TseThis event is the New York premier and book launch for narrow distances, photographs by Ka-Man Tse made between 2004-2018. Featuring essays, poetry and texts in both English and Chinese by Yau Ching, Kaitlin Chan, Ken Chen, Anita Wong, Dorothy Cheung, Alfa Chan, and an interview with Elle Pérez. Made between New York and Hong Kong, the book asks questions of place and home, identity, community, and subject-hood.  What does it mean to look, who has the right to look, what does it mean to be seen? narrow distances addresses a desire to negotiate multiple and diasporic identities within the intersection of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) and LGBTQ communities.

Free and Open to the public.
